Seeing IFDC LUNCHEON @ Shuga Shug’s Blog 090731 and the dolls in a steampunk theme bought back memories of my mini-obsession with retro science fiction in early highschool – which means, I really need some serious memory refreshing/re-reading to do!
I found an artist by the name of James Ng who does amazing illustrated artworks including East Asian influenced steampunk imagery! The only time I find the style of the Chinese Qing Dynasty used “appropriately” lol
PLUS the colour styles of steampunk suit this website quite well
… trying to use wordpress with internet explorer is horrible!

Have you come across D.M.Cornish’s Monster Blood Tattoo series? It’s probably more bio-punk than steam punk but it’s great reading
