I have left this note at the Yahoo Integrity Toys Janay and Friends group
Hi, I’m hoping to start up a database for past Janay playline dolls. I am mostly interested in Janay at this point in time and will eventually want to list the other dolls in the series too.
This is a sample page of what the list will look like – http://www.abcdoll.org/dollwiki/Mbili_Face_Mould – this is a list of Mattel dolls with the Mbili face sculpt. I list them by faces and by characters and sometimes if I have time, by series too.
If you could help me out, please email me pictures of Janay dolls at dollsofcolor @ gmail.com (remember to take out the spaces!)
Information required -
01. Face photo taken from the front showing face paint, hair etc
02. Name of doll/series, year released, stock number
03. Extra notes and photos are bonus! Thanks, I’m really hoping to hear from anyone soon!
I’m extending this request here too.
Another thing… the Janay face – this one – was Janay the first character to use this sculpt? I generally title my lists after the doll to first use the sculpt. And then I also write up a character list, since one character can use various sculpts over time.
Any help will be appreciated!
PS. I am also broke… so any offers to buy this or that rare htf Janay will be sadly declined. I am only after information, not solid goods… although I wish I could buy all the Janays in the world… *dreams*

I would be glad to help ;D
I only have one good Janay photo (Fashion Insider, dealer version) so I’ll need to take nicer photos of the Janay dolls. (Not modesty; I need to work on my photography.)
Neil mentioned Janay photos on Flickr – Hi, Niel! – and there are some gorgeous photos on these two links alone:
Integrity Janay search
Integrity playline search
I do think that this is a great project and a helpful one.

Hi Dana!
Yes, those photos are what I’m talking about.
There’s a Flickr group on Integrity playline but I can’t find the link right now. Will update you if ever I do. There might be Janay photos there and you can ask the owner for more details (and of course permission to use their photos)

Good luck with your Janay database and with getting help from Integrity.
I believe Janay was the first doll to use the mold you referenced. I have some earlier Janays that use that mold.
The original Janay and Jordan head sculpts can be seen at this url:

I’ve put up a post regarding your Janay photo needs here and I sent four Janay photos for you to use or not use ;-D depending on what other photos you receive.

Good luck with your database. I’m sorry I can’t be of much help because all my dolls with Janay etc. heads have been body-swapped, repainted or modified, but I’m looking forward to seeing your database. My favorite is Janay’s Embassy Ball; she has a great cropped hairstyle and fabulous makeup in gold tones.

I have some of the older dolls. I will find them for phots! I called Integrity Toys when they first got started. They were a couple out of Baltimore. The doll, the dancing Janay, came with a phone number of the box. So I called it. The was for their shop but I think they sold other items at the shop and not dolls. The dolls were new for them.

Really? That’s so cool… was it the current Integrity Toys President Percy Newsum?
