Dolls of Color

Did you know that Janay has sisters? Well she must because check out these dolls to be released in the future by Integrity Toys.

Dominique seems to like pink… hmmm…

Don’t you think the resemblance is just striking? And yes, it has been officially confirmed that these are brand new sculpts. There have been other sculpts from Integrity Toys where if you blink you’ll miss the differences such as old-Veronique vs Simi/Anja sculpts and Agnes vs Giselle sculpts. The variations can be features being slightly more angular, softer, narrower, wider… confusing quite a number of collectors (me included, I was *convinced* that the Dominique and Dayle – not sure if they are the same as each other or not either – were Janay but I was wrong hehe).

Darla Daley is to be Poppy Parker’s new (or old?) friend – this line has a vintage 1950-60s theme to it. Dominique will be in the new FR2 line which has a new body sculpt, more realistic (or not) with softer profiles and better joints, the fashion themes of FR2 seem to be more contemporary and edgy.

These dolls are being categorised for the time being here as being part of the “African Diaspora” since I don’t know their character “back story”, so they might not be “American”… but we all know they’re probably going to all be made in China… African Chinese?
