When Diversity Choice = Blonde or Redhead

hmmm… not really

Blue Caprice, Red Desire and Midnight Lace (W Club Lotto)

Unfortunately for fans of Gene Marshall, it was announce last year that Gene would be retiring this year along with her friends Violet Waters (tanned/dark skin doll) and Madra Lord (dark haired doll).

Gene Marshall was designed by Mel Odom and originally produced by Ashton-Drake from 1995 and then by Integrity Toys from 2006 onwards.

Part of the celebration (well not really but it sort of became part of it once the retirement announcement was made in my opinion) of Gene’s retirement was the release of three “mini” Gene dolls in 12″ size, the regular Gene dolls are 15 1/2″ tall. They are very expensive (for me) and that’s why it took so long after their release to get just one doll.

I chose the blonde one (which is odd for me because usually I prefer redheads over blonde… just not in this case).

It would be great to be able to get 1:6 scale dolls of her friends Violet Waters and Madra Lord.

Since the dress she came in was so awesome, I put it on a bunch of other dolls too just for fun :)

Nichelle - doesn't she look regal or what?
